Not all soil tests are equal. Here are some things to look for when looking for a laboratory to test your soil.
When choosing a laboratory, ensure they test for all plant nutrients, pH, Total Cation Exchange Capacity, soil organic carbon and test phosphorus with the Mehlich 3 or Colwell procedures.
Here are some soil testing laboratories that we recommend. Please note that this list is in no way comprehensive and should be taken as a guide.
Environmental Analysis Laboratory (EAL) - Southern Cross University
Note: Nutrient Advantage do not calculate Total Cation Exchange Capacity, we can estimate this from the data provided within the test.
Perry Agricultural Laboratory (PAL)
Note: This laboratory does not include ammonium nitrogen in their test which may result in the over application of Nitrogen.
